I've had a credit card and a catalogue or two.. and due to struggles they've been sent to credit companies to claim the money from me.
I got so tired of being scared of the mail i ended up opening them all after months, finding the most recent letter and sending them all back with a basic note:
"I cannot afford to pay the £**** I owe, i can afford £* a week. Please send me direct debit instructions. Thank you."
Each time i was met with either an income/outgoings form, an almost as low counter offer, or a 'Yes that's fine'.
Hope this helps a few of you. They know they can't get blood out of a stone.
