I am a long-term investor. I am planning on retiring around 45-50 due to my future situation once I am out of school. I will be making around $80,000-$120,000 a year at the age of 27 while my wife will be making around $52,000 a year at the same age. We both plan on maxing out our 401ks (my company matches 10% while her's matches 5%) while putting $5,500 into a Roth IRA individually (so two Roth IRAs total), while together having a Three-fund portfolio with Vanguard that we will add $15,000 a year to. With the extra money that we have to save we will be investing in these long-term stocks: GE, WM, PG, GOOGL, AAPL, RY, CLX, TM, DE, V, COST. Do you guys think it would be possible for my wife and I to retire after 20 years? I would love your guys' feedback and thank you! PS: We will have no student loans.
