I was checking my credit report (first time I'm up in the 700s!!), and I noticed that under addresses, it has my brother's ex-wife's new address in Texas is listed. I had lived with her and my brother in Pennsylvania about 7 years ago for about 6 months after college, but I did not have any bills set up at that address. My question is, is there any possibility that this is just a fluke, or is she using my social # without my permission? There are no weird open credits open on my account. I should add that this woman is not very trustworthy so asking her outright is probably not going to help.
Also I have tried to file a dispute online, but I guess I have to do it by mail. Is there a way to continue to check on my credit report without paying the monthly fees to each of the reporting companies?
