It's amazing how one little change can affect your entire day. Recently with a big power outage, our dryer was fried and obviously left unusable. Since warm weather also coincidentally started when that happened, I figured we could save some money and use a clothesline for a while before replacing the dryer. Every morning I go and hang the laundry. Fresh air and sunshine first thing in the day has been amazing. It's almost therapeutic to rhythmically grab the pins and neatly hang each item. It doesn't feel like a chore at all. The clothes smell fresher and more fragrant than ever. They even seem to dry faster. And when I start my day like this, I've noticed I'm taking my time doing other things again, too. I am noticing the new spring growth popping up all over my yard. I notice new buds and blooms each day. I hear different types of birds chirping. I feel more awake and alert after going outside first thing, rather than sluggishly drinking my coffee inside and it's putting me in a relaxed, great mood for the rest of the day. If you can (and aren't already), I highly recommend using a clothesline to dry your clothes.
