I have a brokerage account with Scottrade and withdrawing from it is a PITA! After the funds have settled, I can do one of two things, call a local branch and ask them to send me a check, or pay $25 to wire the money to a bank account. The irony is that I have a Scottrade bank account and I can deposit funds into the brokerage account. I just can't withdraw in the same way.
Is this a common practice? Does anyone have a brokerage account where you can simply transfer funds back and forth between your checking account?
