So recently, a sign was taken down near our property to replace it with a new one, and we were able to get a hold of the old one to keep!Only issue is that it's still on it's post, and of course they make it quite difficult to remove the sign. I should be able to unscrew it, however the pole is quite difficult to maneuver around, and I need a way to split the top layer of (what I believe is carbon rather than stainless) steel so I can get to the nut and take the sign off.I was looking into oxyacetylene torches but they're much too expensive, so is there anyone who has a recommendation of the cheapest/easiest way to open the post up? Would it be possible to heat the steel with a butane torch to make it more malluble? Thanks! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2nTiow3
