So I attended a wealth expo last weekend and one of the many famous speakers was Suze Orman. If I understood her correctly, she suggested opening a Roth IRA with a discount firm at the age of 25 and deposit no more than $100 into it every month directed to an index fund. Then, by the time I retire it would be worth more than a million. However, I'm 27 now so how much will that number change by? Also, if this is accurate and still worth doing, what brokerage would you recommend I use? So far Fidelity seems to be a good option but there are so many to choose from.
