Hi folks, I'm looking for a pack that has space for a 1L water bottle in the middle of the pack. My current packs have saddlebag type pockets, and it's wreaking havoc on my shoulder to have this weight unevenly distributed.
I know the Tom Bihn Synapse has a water bottle pocket right down the middle, but unfortunately I find the pack very uncomfortable, so that's a no-go. Is there anything similar to the Synapse that has a vertical water bottle pocket?
And I hope this type of post is ok in this sub. If there's a better place to ask this, please let me know. I wasn't sure where to post, so I decided on a few subs that I thought might be good places to ask.
I just need something medium sized, I don't need a 3-day pack, 30L is probably the upper limit for my needs. And I don't like the idea of attaching a molle pouch to my more military packs.
Something low-profile like the Synapse is ideal. Actually, the Synapse is a nearly perfect pack, but the straps are so uncomfortable for me that it's an absolute dealbreaker.
