Friends want me to go on a cruise with them this summer. I would be taking my girlfriend and it would cost me over $3000 for the two of us. While I do have a decent paying job, I pay for student loans, and other bills that my friends don't necessarily have. I explained that even if I did have $3000 to blow, Id rather go do multiple things like visit California, put it towards my project car, maybe a camping trip locally, and maybe a weekend getaway to a beach. I think backpacking Europe would be more fun.
Am I being cheap in this situation or is it justifiable that I want to do other things with my money?
To people who have been on cruises, was it worth it?
