Hello, this is my first post here and this will also be my first big DIY project! The problem is since I am new to this, I have very little to no knowledge on many things on how to start. So to the point, I have an empty wall by the living room that I want to make it an uneven wood wall, something similar to this that has uneven pieces of wood, the only difffernece is I want to color them but that is not the issues...I can get some scrapped wood from a local place in the citty or some wood from pallets, what is the first thing I need to do (after sanding) with the wood? do I have to "curate" the wood? like to avoid bugs or anything? or apply just primer and then pain? or paint directly? The wall is a simple drywall, with 2 or 3 studs behind it. I was thinking just grabbing every piece of wood and putting a nail through the wood and drywall. Is this a good idea? like is the drywall going to fall or anything?any otgher tips or recommendation on how to do this right Will be greatly appreciated.as I mentioned I am really excited and I want to learn more and do things in my own homw so I knows mistakes could happen but I want to minimize them as much as possible. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2n3H4od
