Many r/investing subscribers seem to love to hate on Motley Fool (or am I mixing this up with r/wallstreetbets?) I realize their marketing can be extremely annoying and they did some stupid things back in their earlier days (http://ift.tt/2nnG5fn) but are there other things I'm missing? I did try out their Stock Advisor service and it seemed like it could useful and the material seem to be, by and large, well-researched.
I'd like to hear all reasonable complaints, preferably with evidence/examples if you are making any specific claims.
