I just spent $7 for McD's food.

Feels good ordering it, waiting for it, carrying it to the table, unwrapping it, and taking the first few bites.

After that is the old familiar slog of 'this is just really not good food in any way shape or form.'

I come home and look in the fridge and see 4 huge boneless skinless chicken breasts, what I consider real food, and probably valued at $20-30 dollars in a restaurant with 5 minutes of prep work. Price tag? $6.74. I just have to cook it. Which isn't a big deal.

It's really hard to justify eating out anymore. To eat out and be happy with it I have to spend about $25 for a 'good' meal. $13 if I case the local casino which has a semi decent buffet.

I just don't see the alure of subways, mcDs or other fast foods.

Except KFC.
