To keep it short, I am 21 years old and want to start putting money away for long term growth. I have 1500$ to put away and I was thinking of putting it into the S&P 500. Is this the right thing to do if this money is not going to hurt me if it disappears? I would be able to invest roughly 300$ a month and would like to use this 1500$ to start. Any tips?
