Hi PF, A few years ago, my grandparents placed my name on the deed to their house when making their end-of-life plans. Just being out of college, it was all very uncomfortable to think about my grandparents impending death so I blocked it from my mind.
I forgot about it until now, after my grandfather's death. They lived in the house and paid the property taxes each year when the documents came to their (my) house under my name. My grandmother still lives there. I've never made any income on the property.
So my question is: What the heck do I do now? Am I in deep trouble with the IRS? Thanks in advanced.
