Not sure if this is the right sub for this question...I am planning on laying floor tile in my basement which is a concrete slab. One of the previous homeowners had painted the floor. Do i need to sand the pain off the floor prior to cleaning with trisodium phosphates and using self leveling compound? I can't imagine the mortar will bond to the paint very well, but haven't been able to find an answer elsewhere. Thanks! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2nz00bM
