  • It wouldn't apply until 2017 taxes, obviously. * I work for an in home senior service company. I drive all around town for my job taking care of old and Disabled people in their homes. I probably average about 50 miles a day in driving. Should I be keeping up with mileage and gas to deduct on my taxes? What about car upkeep like new tires, oil changes, stuff like that, that keeps my car running properly because I also have to transport clients? Is my phone bill tax deductible? It's mandatory that I keep it in service at all times, it's how I clock in and out, accept scheduling, and I use my maps to get to and from client to client. I've already asked my work and they told me I needed to ask the person who does my taxes about that, but I've always done my own taxes. For 2017 if I do deduct all this stuff should I just go ahead and have someone file for me? Does anyone have recommendations on what company to go through if so?

I live in Oklahoma if it makes a difference

Thank you in advance!
