Just wanted to throw out there that those facing a cross-country move can really benefit from selling everything before moving instead of paying for a UHaul or moving company to move your stuff. I priced out the cost of getting the smallest UHaul for my upcoming move and that cost exceeded the actual value of my mostly thrifted furniture. Instead, with about a month and a half until the big move, I've been selling everything slowly but steadily on LetGo with great luck. YMMV, but seriously consider these cost savings in the context of your next big move.
