I know many people I talk to throw their 5500 into VTI and call it a day. How active are you within your Roth IRA account? How do you allocate your contributions year after year? Blends of ETFs, mixes of blue chips, or even higher risk investments? Since I(28) started contributing two years ago, I have been placing most of the contribution into total market small cap ETFs. However, I do allocate 1k per year into speculative stocks.
