Hello everyone, I have currently reached a standpoint in my life and I am considering changing my occupation. First let me tell you a little about myself, I am a 24 year old aerospace engineer working in Romania, the work environment gets quite stressful sometimes but the work-time is flexible so I got that going for me. My salary is around 1000 $ per month, which is not much, I know, but considering the lifestyle in my country I am doing quite well. After expenses (rent, food, fun, etc) i end up with about 500$ saved every month, plus I have close to 10,000 $ saved during my lifetime.

I was always passionate about flying, but never had a chance because of lack of money, that is way I chose to follow an aerospace engineering faculty. What I want to do now, is to use my 10,000$ as an advance on a loan for 50,000$ that will help me get through aviation school. Because of my flexible schedule I could follow the flight school course and also work at my job, thus having a way of living and also paying my loan.

My fear is that I will make this big investment and after i get my license it will be hard for me to get a job as a pilot. Any advice on what should I do ? Is it a risky investment?
