I work at a summer camp teaching sailing in several small boat types (we have aqua fins/sunfish, flying scots, a few hobie cats, and a Catalina (can't remember the lengths on either hobies or catalina) and every year I wind up buying a new pair of shoes to use as the river we sail in isn't the cleanest. I'm looking for a reliable, sturdy pair of water shoes that I can: Wear on land and on the boats Keep footing while jumping from boat to motor launch/wet decks Not worry too much about mildew/mold buildup beyond rinsing them in cleaner water Dry relatively quickly to be able to walk indoors safely. Not worry about being totally submerged.
