After abusing an old bag of mine for a couple of years through college, it's time to get a new bag. Now that I have a steady income, I thought it would be worth it to spend a little bit on something of quality that will last me a long time. Little did I know how many options there were available to me. I've spent countless hours researching backpacks and a few names stood out to me as some of the best; Tom Bihn, and Goruck. That being said, I was hoping you could help me narrow down my options even further.
Right now I'm looking at either the Synapse 25, the Smart Alec, the Brain Bag, or the GR1. My hope for this bag is to use it as an every day bag, but be able to take it with me on weekend trips. I usually carry around some small electronics (laptop, tablet, portable game console, game controller, chargers, etc) and some board games/trading cards when I go out. Sometimes it's heavy on the electronics, sometimes its heavy on the tabletop games. I'd want a bag that is able to kinda "deflate" when not at max capacity so that it doesn't look massive all the time.
I took some pictures of my current bag and an example of a fairly large carry.
Also, if anyone happens to know what brand my current backpack is let me know... i haven't been able to figure it out.
Thanks!
