Just about to finish my first DIY Rpi project, a magic mirror. Since I'm interested in building a RetroPie too, I'm wondering if I could do both in the same project, as in playing the RetroPie on the mirror. Pretty new to this, but it seems doable at least from a technical standpoint, gameplay on the mirror might look awful but can be improved probably. Any tips you want to share would be greatly appreciated! My main concerns/questions would be:First and foremost, is it possible/viable?Probably the most obvious knock on this idea, but how would gameplay look with the mirror surface? Probably shitty? Would it help if I blacked out the background screen or altered the colors while the RetroPie is in use? There has to be some way to make it pop better. How would I switch between the Magic Mirror display and the RetroPie? I have an app that makes displaying/hiding my Magic Mirror modules super easy, could that work? Not sure how to link RetroPie to MMWould/could a breadboard be involved? I've been looking for a reason to learn how to work with those. I'm honestly not even sure what they are.My ultimate dream design would be to mount the case on a y-axis swivel on the wall, so that when I rotate the mirror from portrait to landscape, it switches from MagicMirror to RetroPie respectively. Could be accomplished by using an accelerometer or placing a physical switch in the path that the case would take as it rotates. Let me dream!Using a 32" LED flatscreen with multiple USB ports. I think this would look super cool if I could pull it off. Didn't see anything like this in this sub or r/raspberry_pi or r/retropie, would really love to get your input! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2mcWm59
