Why is it that my order is sometimes filled instantly, even when my limit is well below the ask?
For example, I just purchased 10 call options for SLRC, 22.5 strike, expiring Sept 2017. The advertised bid was 0.45, and the advertised ask was 0.75. I placed a limit order for 0.6 and it was filled immediately.
