Pulling up an old toilet (circa 1975). I noticed the little caps that cover the bowl to floor hardware were glued on and I had to force them a bit to pop off. It seems installers glued/caulked or somehow else adhered everything under the cap? WTF?? Unscrewed the hardware on the left side and it was a bit gummy, nbd. The right side, however, will not come off because the bastards are glued together. When I turn the nut, the bolt just rotates around with it (I can do this with my hands). I can see the glue in the threads, but have no idea how I can seperate the nut from a bolt. Am I going to need some sort of dissolvent? I'm not sure I have enough length to snap it with channel locks. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2mb1pmA
