My car is a Nissan Sentra from '97, 160,000 miles, broken windshield wipers, probably a power steering fluid leak, and "something weird" going on in the back involving smoke. I've recently started making about $500 a week ($2,000 a monthish) so I'm considering looking into getting a fairly new used car from the late 2000s or early 2010s for $15,000 max, probably going to stick close to $10,000 though. Does this seem reasonable? I am terrible with saving and planning and finances as a whole. But I figure, if I get a car from say 2012 with less than 50,000 miles on it, it'll probably last me quite a while.
