About two and a half years ago I started having to travel for work once or twice a month so 2-4 trips every month. After going through a couple of cheaper bags the first year I started to pay attention to what the pilots carried with them. They all seemed to have the exact same bag so one day I asked one about it. He said he'd been using the same bag every day for over 20 years. He had it rebuilt once, but I can't remember why, I want to say he'd somehow dented the frame badly but it's been a year and a half since I had the conversation.
This thing is solid. It's an aluminum frame so not too heavy and a solid stainless steel handle with no telescoping crap. No play in the handle at all after a year and a half of use and it glides up and down. The wheels are easily replaced and are basically rollerblade wheels with steel bearings. The company will repair anything wrong with it up to rebuilding the whole thing for a price (of course). It has a hook to carry my backpack through the airport and plenty of space for up to two weeks of clothes.
It wasn't cheap but I'd already spent the same amount replacing bags during the first year. Definitely worth the money, I could see this easily lasting a lifetime even for a frequent traveler.
