I'm putting together a very simple setup so that I can install LED lights on the front of my boat for flounder gigging. Basically I am just using some aluminum angle stock.. with the lights mounted on the top side.. then the bottom side is clamped to the gunwale. This looks like it will work fine, but if it does I'd like to place some sort of receptacle permanently on the gunwale.. in stainless or aluminum so that I'm not messing with c-clamps which could potentially vibrate and fall off.I put together a simple little picture here to show what I'm looking to do. The red plate on the gunwale is what I'd try to bolt on.. I'm sure there's some form of locking receptacle type latch.. or whatever I don't even know what to call it to google.. and it's very important that it be either stainless or aluminum. Does anyone know what would work? I'm open to alternative ideas as long as it stays with the KISS approach I've got going on so far. Thanks! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2lwmcR7
