I am reaching out to all my fellow DIYers for advice on what material to construct and desk/work table/pc case out of. I have some designs and mock ups but im having trouble choosing a material or materials. I want actual desk part to hold a pretty solid weight without bending out breaking. Im not exactly gentle. The "PC case" part will have a hole, covered by a clear material, in the desk material directly above it to act like a side window on a standard PC case AND, hopefully, be capable of sliding out as a whole to completely change all of the components. The goal is stay within a $300-$400 (USD) budget and im expecting to use no more than 5 4'x8' panels of whatever building material im using. What i am currently considering is mostly 1/2"-3/4" mdf board for the supports/walls, and a 3/4"-1" thick desktop of either MDF or sanded plywood. Any advice would be extremely appreciated. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2mUA64m
