Hi everyone from BIFL (X-post from /r/BIFL since the bot told be about this one)!
My current purse is due to be replaced since long ago as it started falling apart and I don't really want another purse as they do not fit my new lifestyle. I am looking at a backpack to replace my purse. Since I need to bring a minimal amount of stuff everyday, I still need something to bring them with me, so I was looking at replacing my purse with a day backpack to have something more firm and comfortable for prolonged use (a purse is not comfortable and doesn't stay put well).
I need to bring wallet, phone, meds, asthma pumps, handkerchiefs, cards, bus pass, pen, a few paper strips, hand cream, q-tips, toothpicks, etc. If I can fit a big pair of headphones (not earbuds) or a camera or something else at the same time, that'd be even greater. So yeah, basically a daily use backpack to replace my current dying purse.
I'm looking at something durable and BIFL so that I don't have to replace it ideally in the next 5-6 years. It will later be used for day trips to the city when I will be travelling, so I need it to be durable, comfortable, etc.
I've looked through a few posts and I kind of got stuck on the Mission workshop backpacks. Would something like the Vandal be great for daily use (be it shopping, going to the city, going to work, etc.) be good enough? I saw good comments about that one but I don't know how appropriate they are for my use. Or would something like the Fraction be more appropriate? What would you guys and gals recommend? Thanks!
