I was wondering if knowing the material from SOA Exam FM (the Derivative Markets section which is actually getting moved to MFE) and Exam MFE would be sufficient in cultivating the knowledge required to be a successful participant in the stock market.

So we learn the basics of how options and hedging works in Exam FM and then in MFE we start learning about how these options are priced (i.e. Black-Scholes Formula).

Would having this knowledge and mathematical background make me, once I pass these exams, prepared to get started in the stock market? Or are there other things I need to learn?
