I am a professional florist. I've been using the same pair for 20+ years on a daily basis.
At work they are indispensable. Cutting stems, small branches and even wire. The tips are great for very delicate, intricate work.
At home, I use them for cutting fresh herbs, lettuce and greens, even crab/lobster shells and chicken bones when cutting a whole chicken. Very comfortable. I have poultry shears-these work much better. I no longer chop my greens-this is fast and easy.
I have both sizes.
