I love many of AA's simple items like their cropped fleece, high-waisted shorts, turtlenecks, and high-waisted jeans. These styles work for me because while they are oversized and I have a small frame, they go in at my waist so I don't look like a beached whale. Their items are pricier, but the pieces I've had have lasted through a lot of wear which is a big deal for me, as especially for items like sweaters, I will wear the Heck outta them.
I have a bit of a, for lack of a better word, Steve Jobs-y style, and love fun patterns, so AA has been one of my favorite stores. To be more specific, I would say I have a more colorful taste than Mr. Jobs, and I like funkier patterns, but like him, I adore the basic turtleneck and mom jeans (well dad jeans in his case) sihlouette. Basically I dress like the girls in the first few seasons of Friends. I am a big ol' ho for their style.
Alas, as American Apparel is closing up shop, I've been looking for a similar replacement, and was wondering if y'all had any suggestions?
