My allergies flare up mostly at night and I feel them coming in through closed windows. I made sure to caulk any gaps and that helped a bit. I also tried putting window insulation kits over all of the windows and that helped quite a bit more. I put two more layers of these insulation kits but they only helped to a certain degree. I was wondering if there are other potential ideas of dealing with this issue?
I saw that some people purchase "sound proof" windows and this helps people with allergies a lot but it's too expensive for me.
Do people have any other suggestions for a clear material I can put over the windows that will help with allergies? I'm ok with opaque materials but I'd like for at least some light to come in so I don't feel like I'm living in a cave - haha.
Thank you in advance!
P.S. - Also the allergies are not coming from within the apartment because I ran several tests for that hypothesis already.
P.P.S. I have HEPA filters inside the home too. I was allergic to over 2 dozen allergens when I was tested with the allergy prick test so I don't know exactly what the allergen is.
