Hello everyone big investment noob here but actively learning, I have 25k just sitting in a bank account and I want to invest it. I have been reading about REITs and they sound good to me. I like the idea of getting a dividend every quarter or month. I ran into this website that actively manages into a whole group of REITs (diversified?). The problem is that they charge a $450/year fee to get access to their portfolio and basically copy it and distribute funds like they do. Then you have to trade on your own platform, I use Motif, so more fees per trade there. They trade weekly. They invested 100k “of their own money” last year and are at 116k this year. I contacted them and they told me that they do not reinvest or add funds to the original amount so it is the original 100k that has grown. The portfolio is called 2CHYP and the website is: http://ift.tt/2mgP4Pb
So my questions are: -has anyone ever heard of these people or used them? -is it typical to invest and actively trade multiple REITs? -the fees seem high to me + weekly trading fees. Is this normal? - is this the wrong place to start investing, catastrophic failure?
Please advise Additional personal info:
