I'm looking to upgrade a pair of switches (2-gang), one with a basic more modern switch, the other will be a Leviton z-wave switch. The wiring isn't what I was expecting but from talking to friends, I think I have a game plan that I'd like to run by r/DIY before I proceed. The switches + box: http://ift.tt/2nrhZzu what I'm seeing, I don't have a direct neutral or ground. But inside the box, I have a bundle of neutral wires. For the non smart switch, I wire it up exactly as it was..For the smart switch (that requires a neutral) I will take the switch with the red wire, and put that in as my line, the two black wires will be my load. For neutral , I'll get run a new white length of cable from the neutral pin on the switch to the bundle in the box.For ground, i'm hoping for your guidance. I don't know if the box is up to code since I didn't find a ground inside. Is it a temporary fix to wire ground to the neutral bundle?Thank you all for your feedback. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2myjheB
