Hey /r/frugal. I am using a throwaway account because my wife follows my main account and I don't want her catching on to me. ;)
I am looking into getting my wife a pendant necklace for our anniversary this year and am considering purchasing something that has a cubic zirconia or moissanite stone. I feel a little bit guilty about this though, like I am "cheaping out" on my wife, and I wanted to see what /r/frugal thought.
A few notes:
-The reason I want to do this is to afford a bigger stone for the jewelry so the piece has more substance and she may wear it more often. -My wife is typically more frugal than I am so I don't think she would feel too bad about it if I tell her after the gift is presented.
