Excuse my ignorance while I learn.
I'm learning about the stock market. I keep reading and watching videos about compound interest. They only really explain the math behind it but never the source of this "interest".
Is there someone out there paying me interest? Is it sense of the word that I've not been exposed to?
Again sorry for asking what seems to be common knowledge in the investing business. I just couldn't find the answer on my own.
