Regarding class-action lawsuits on behalf of investors against companies in which you yourself are invested: Did you join in on such a lawsuit, and if so, could you share your perspectives and experiences? There is a part of me that resents the "ambulance-chasing" vibe of such lawsuits, especially since the lawyers will undoubtedly reap the most financial benefit. OTOH, if the lawsuit prevails, i.e., the company was found to have acted against the interests of investors, why shouldn't I get a small part of the payout? Am I even thinking about this the right way? Thanks.
