I am in the process of renovating a motel in my area into studio apartments and one thing I have been doing is installing 3/4" plywood over the old plywood and then putting in wood look porcelain tiles that are 6" x 24". My question is whether or not I need to keep spending hours upon hours scraping every piece of the old carpet mat adhesive off the old subfloor or if I can just go right over the top of it with 3/4" plywood and then tiles.
