My kids just shattered the enamel off of one of my cast iron skillets. Sigh. A quick look online says this isn't covered under the warrenty on any brands that I looked at to replace it.
Let me be clear, I have no idea what happened. But, it was loud! I am very destructive without meaning to be so this subreddit helps stear me to items that can better handle my homies wear and tear.
Does anyone have both non enamel and enamel cast iron to tell me if there is a difference in cooking?
The only other cast items I have are a yellow grilled cheese pan and an enamal coated cast iron tea pot. ( kettle can be put on the stove, pot should have hot water added for brewing). This causes me to be unsure what I actually need for my cooking needs.
Thank you in advance.
