Does anyone have suggestions for a dress similar to this A.L.C Way dress?
I was recently at Nordstrom Rack and tried it on a whim. The pictures really don't do it justice... it does brilliant and incredible things to an 'hourglass' figure. (This is a little better, but still doesn't capture the brilliance!) As soon as I had it on I swore that it didn't matter what it cost, I was walking out of the store with it ....and then I saw the price!
Things I love: something about the way the skirt is cut does amazing things in the behind. Especially coupled with the belt which gives the overall shape a lovely combination of flattering and fitted, but still floaty. I love the more professional feeling button-up top but with the soft fabric, feminine print and full sleeves, and also contrasted to the slightly skater cut to the skirt.
I've never tried anything on like this before, and though my budget doesn't regret my decision to put it back, my wardrobe tells me it hits all the right buttons. I love items like this that are flattering, feminine, but with a bit of a professional and/or tomboy edge.
