So shell sold a huge portion of its British production to pay off debt. But companies can borrow money for practically 0% interest now. Why would they care to repay basically free money? (with inflation it might even be good to keep the loans) If they use it to repay old debts why don't they just take new loans to repay the old high interest ones?
