Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this so please guide me.
I'm an engineer from Sudan working in IT. I graduated as a software engineer but couldn’t find a development job so I switched to tech support and system administration.
For many reasons I decided I can't stay in this country. I've been applying for jobs abroad for three years now but never got any real opportunity. Maybe because I'm in a different country and it's a hassle to arrange for a work permit for someone in my level of experience.
Currently I make about $1,800 a year. I live with my parents so I spend most my money on transport, food, savings and courses that I think will help me boost my career (which at this point I still don't know where it's really going).
I have $525 saved and I can get about $500 from my social insurance if I quit my company or find another job soon.
I want to find an online job to raise some money so I can buy a residence visa somewhere in the gulf so I can look for a good job. I have a laptop and a smartphone (well, Windows phone but good enough). I don't have a car. If there are no technical jobs available, I think I can write or teach.
My current target is $4,500. It's the cost for a residence visa to the nearest country from here in addition to tickets and living expenses for a month or two until I find a job.
Thank you for spending the time to read this. Is this a good plan? Is this a plan at all?
