Last year in January, I was working as a freelance seamstress. I made less than $400 that month. From January 28-February 26, 2016. I was in the hospital in ICU. I was diagnosed with mixed connective tissue disorder (lupus, scleroderma, and pulmonary hypertension). Life expectancy is pretty low, so I was put on disability. I lived with my aunt and uncle after I was released from the hospital for 8 months. I paid no bills to them and did not work for the remainder of the year. I'm 28 years old.
They have not brought it up, but should I suggest to them that they could claim me as a dependent? Can they claim me as a dependent?
