I apologize if this isn't the best place to put this question. I have been thinking and am looking for some outsider perspective.

So I am in college now. I received a scholarship that covered the majority of tuition and I worked to pay for the rest. It feels great to have no student loans upon graduation.

I have recently been accepted into a graduate program. If I attend I will have to take out loans to go. My mom keeps telling me it is a bad idea and I know she has a point. I don't want to put myself into debt. But the grad school is wonderful and I truly believe (based of my research) that it will give me more opportunities for jobs. I truly don't know if I could reach my dream job potential without the connections I will be making at grad school. Part of me says I am being ridiculous for considering this and another part says it is not the end of the world.

I know that I am the only one who can say yes or no to this. But I want to hear from others.

Do you regret taking out your loans? How much did you take out? I would need about $40,000. Roughly how long did it take you to pay off your debts?

I guess I just want to hear your pros and cons. Thanks so much in advance
