Our house has been on and off the market several times in the last 2.5 years. It is currently unlisted. Recently we were approached by someone who wanted to see it. We live out-of-state and arranged for a friend to let them in and show them around. Sunday they made an offer, we countered and they have accepted the counter. Now what? We cannot afford to involve a realtor and give them 5% of the sale price so ideally we would like to continue to work with they buy directly. Has anyone done this? Do you have any advise? Did you use any web-based resources and find them helpful? If you hired an attorney, at what stage did you get them involved? Thanks so much for any insight you are able to share.
