After seeing some success stories online, I figured I would give it a try. I called our internet provider and politely explained to them that I would like to cancel our internet service. After some back-and-forth of her offering other options such as increasing internet speed and a $5 a month savings, she was able to offer me the introductory rate of $45/mo instead of $70/mo. Just being nice and asking can go a long way.
