Here's the long and the short of it. My wife and I (and two younger daughters) have purchased a 910 sq ft 2 bed/1.5 bath home and will be moving in (assuming inspection passes) in the next month. In the interim, we will be boxing everything up in our current 2000sqft 4 bed/3 bath home.
The idea is that we will ONLY take to the new home the essentials we require on a day to day basis (bed, pillows, fridge, food, toothbrush, etc.). The rest will be boxed and kept in storage for 6 months, or possibly a year to allow a full cycle of all four seasons.
As we need things, we need a simple efficient method of getting to the items that we need. An example would be an obscure book we need for research or a particular toy that the girls remembered they had and want to play with.
What would be the best way to box things up, label, document, etc.? I've got a few ideas, but I'm not completely happy with any of them, and I have to assume this is something that others have come across in the past.
