My wife and I bought a house, then remodeled half of it, then immediately paid for our own wedding and honeymoon. I was terrified. We planned a moderately priced wedding (30k ish, maybe slightly higher), then went on a dream honeymoon. We ended up overreaching by about 25k.
Yesterday I made my last payment on it. There was an actual sense of relief. Never knew that would happen.
