We are planning a trip from South Georgia to DC in June. There will be 8 to 12 of us going. My parents are planning on taking a scenic train from North Georgia to DC. That leaves six to ten of us for the trip there.
Trying to figure out the most frugal and efficient way of getting up there. I looked at airfare from Atlanta but that's going to be close to $400 round trip per person. There are last minute flights for like $60, but do you think we'll be able to get flights that cheap in June?
Or do you think it would be a better idea to take personal cars or rent a large van and just count on paying to park? I figured it'll be about $200 per car in gas.
What about a bus like Greyhound? Although we will be traveling with small children and it's about a 12 hour drive straight through and I know buses stop a lot. Please share your wisdom!
